If you touch the bulb of a halogen lamp with bare fingers, then the remaining fatty fingerprints from the fingers can lead to overheating of the included lamp and its explosion. Do not touch the glass bulb of the halogen lamp with bare fingers. Always wear safety goggles when handling halogen lamps.
