An iridium spark plug is used. The central electrode has a diameter of 0.6 mm and is made of an iridium alloy.

A thinner center electrode made it possible to reduce the electrical discharge and improve the ignition characteristics. which, in turn, allowed for stable performance under all driving conditions and significantly improved fuel efficiency (pic. 2.71).
