Timing chain tensioner - oil. The timing chain tension is kept constant by using oil pressure and the spring force of the chain tensioner. The oil chain tensioner has the following parts: a piston spring that acts on the tensioner arm; non-return valve that stores force on the tensioner arm (pic. 2.26).
