Offset bore pistons are used to reduce noise. Pistons and connecting rods can only be separated by shrink fit. Piston is marked to prevent misassembly (). The piston is installed so that the marking arrow is facing the front of the engine (pic. 2.16).
Note. The piston of the L3 engines has a groove for the valves.
