The valve lifter design does not have shims. In addition to the valve lifter, the cam friction surface is phosphated to smooth the surface and improve abrasion resistance. To adjust the valve clearance, the valve lifter must be replaced. Valve lifters are available in 35 sizes depending on thickness. To distinguish the pushers, they have an engraved marking (3 digits) (pic. 2.28).
