Oil pan — general information
Two types of oil pans are used - one made of aluminum alloy, thereby reducing the overall weight of the vehicle, and one made of laminated steel. A silicone seal is used to seal the pallet. The oil pan baffles stabilize the diffusion of engine oil due to the rotation of the crankshaft and oil level fluctuations while the vehicle is in motion.
