Attention! Operations to repair the hub and steering knuckle of the left and right front wheels are the same.
Removing

Tap the bent part of the locknut outward with a small chisel and hammer (pic. 3.103).
Block the hub by applying the brake.
Loosen the locknut.

Place the hub assembly in a vise. Remove the wheel hub from the drive shaft using special tools (pic. 3.104).
If the bearing inner race is left on the wheel hub axle, cut through the bearing inner race to the remaining thickness, (approx. 0.5 mm).

After that, remove the ring with a chisel (pic. 3.105).

Remove the wheel bearing using the special tools (fig 3.106).

Mark the protective cover and steering knuckle for further installation (pic. 3.107).

Install the hub in the press and remove the bolts (pic. 3.109).
Note. The hub bolts should only be removed if they have been replaced.
Installation

Using a press, install new hub bolts (pic. 3.110).

Install the cover on the steering knuckle. Align the marks on the new guard and steering knuckle (pic. 3.111).
