Before removing the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable and lay it aside.
When disconnecting the wires from the battery, people should not be near the airbags for the driver and front passenger.
The airbag, when removed, must always be positioned with the facing facing upwards.
During a break in work, the airbag must not be left unattended.
The airbag unit must not be disassembled and must be replaced as a set in the event of a malfunction. Since it contains explosive substances, the unit must be stored in a container or covered. The airbag must be disposed of in a workshop.
An undischarged, removed airbag assembly must be stored in a closed container for long-term repairs.
The airbag must only be checked by a workshop. Do not use a test lamp, voltmeter or ohmmeter.
Do not allow the airbag assembly to come into contact with lubricants or cleaning agents.
The steering wheel cover must not be glued, stretched or subjected to any stress whatsoever. It can only be cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth and a cleaning agent recommended by the manufacturer.
The airbag assembly and control unit are impact sensitive. If they fell from a height of more than 50 cm, then they cannot be used further. If the height is less, then you need to check the airbag in the workshop.
If the airbag deployed during an accident, all airbag assemblies must be replaced with new ones (In workshop).
When welding, connect the connecting terminals of the welding machine close to the welding point.
