The fuel tank is made of steel sheet and is located under the bottom of the vehicle in front of the rear axle. The fuel tank is ventilated using a closed ventilation system. Harmful gasoline vapors are directed by the tank ventilation system to a container with activated carbon, and then they participate in the combustion process.
All models with gasoline engines have a safety switch that turns off the fuel pump in the event of an accident or overload. The switch for the Ford Fiesta/Mazda 121 models is located in the driver's footwell, for the Ford KA it is in the front passenger's footwell on the side under the trim. If the power supply is interrupted, this can be determined by the extended power button.
Precautions: If fuel is spilled after an accident, then before turning off the device, you must determine the location of the leak and eliminate it.
