Disassembly and assembly
1. Disassemble the magnetic clutch of the compressor in the sequence of numbers shown in the figure.
1 - bolt,
2 - pressure plate,
3 - adjusting washers,
4 - retaining ring,
5 - pulley,
6 - screw,
7 - stator,
8 - retaining ring,
9 - compressor.
Note:
- To loosen or tighten the bolt, hold the clutch pressure plate as shown.
- When installing a new air conditioner housing, replace the bolt with a new one.
2. Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
3. Adjust the electromagnetic clutch.
Adjustment of the electromagnetic clutch
1. Place the A/C compressor on a level, level surface.
2. Engage the electromagnetic clutch by connecting the wire from the positive battery terminal to the terminal "A" clutch connector, and a wire from the negative terminal to the air conditioning compressor housing.
3. Install the dial indicator on the magnetic stand, and the probe of the dial indicator at the point "A" on the surface of the pressure plate.
4. Turn off the magnetic clutch by disconnecting the wire from the air conditioning compressor housing and measure the gap.
5. Repeat steps "2 - 4" for points "IN" And "WITH".
6. Make sure the clearance is correct.
- Nominal clearance - 0.35 - 0.75 mm
7. Adjust the clearance with shims.
Examination
1. Disconnect the connector from the compressor magnetic clutch.
2. Connect the wire from the positive battery terminal to the terminal "A" clutch connector, and a wire from the negative terminal to the air conditioning compressor housing.
3. Check that the electromagnetic clutch works.
If the clutch fails, replace the clutch stator winding.
