Front shock absorber

Removal and installation

Remove parts in the order they are numbered on the assembly drawing "Removal and installation of the front suspension shock absorber".

Note: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Installation note

Tighten the shock absorber rod nut so that the distance from the surface of the nut to the surface of the stud is 6 to 8 mm.

Examination

1. Remove the front shock absorber from the vehicle.

2. Check the shock absorber for damage or leaks.

3. Check the rubber bush for damage and wear.

4. Squeeze and stretch the shock absorber at least three times. Make sure that the resistance to movement does not change and there are no extraneous sounds.

A) Squeeze the shock absorber and release it.

b) Make sure the stem comes out completely at normal speed.

If necessary, replace shock absorber.
