Disassembly of the piston-rod assembly of the cylinder block

1. Check the fit of the connection "piston - piston pin". If the connecting rod does not drop under its own weight, replace the piston, connecting rod and/or piston pin.



2. If necessary, replace the entire assembly.

A) Using the special tool, remove both compression rings.



b) Remove the oil scraper elements by hand (scrapers and ring expander).

Note: Arrange the rings in the correct order.

3. Using a hammer and special tool, press out the piston pin.

Note:

• If necessary, mark the piston and connecting rod to ensure correct assembly.
• Do not dismantle the piston and piston pin.
• Lay out the parts of the piston group as a set.
