Note: see the figure for the location of the solenoid valves "Location of emission control system components" in chapter "fuel injection system".
Checking Solenoid Valves No. 1 and No. 2 Throttle Control
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove the solenoid valve.
3. Check the function of the solenoid valve.
A) Make sure no air is leaking from the hole "A" to holes "WITH" And "IN" and comes out of the hole "IN" to the hole "WITH".
b) Apply battery voltage to terminal "A", and the mass on the output "IN" solenoid valve.
V) Make sure air is escaping from the hole "A" to the hole "IN" and does not go to "WITH".
Otherwise, replace the solenoid valve.
Checking the throttle actuator
1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the throttle actuator.
2. Connect the vacuum pump to the port "A" drive.
3. Apply vacuum and check that the actuator stem moves.
Underpressure:
- less than 4 kPa - start of movement
- more than 25.3 kPa - completely moved
4. Connect the vacuum pump to the ports "A" And "IN" drive.
5. Apply vacuum and check that the actuator stem moves.
The rod must move completely when the vacuum is more than 40 kPa.
If the described conditions are not met, replace the throttle valve.
