Removal and installation
Attention:
- When installing the camshaft position sensor, make sure that it is thoroughly cleaned of any foreign metal materials, otherwise the signal from the sensor will be distorted during operation.
- Do not allow liquid to enter the sensor connector, as this may cause the sensor to malfunction.
1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position sensor.
3. Turn away a bolt of fastening and remove the gauge of provision of a camshaft from a head of the block of cylinders.
- Tightening torque - 8-11 Nm
4. Installation of details is made in sequence, return to removal.
Examination
1. Set the idle speed.
2. Check the output voltage at the sensor leads.
Output voltage:
- A - always around 0 V
On output "IN" the voltage should vary with crankshaft speed, from ~0V at low frequency to ~5V at high frequency
- V - always around 5 V
If the voltage at the sensor terminals differs from the specified value, replace the sensor.
