Checking the EGR Valve Position Sensor
1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
2. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals "A" And "IN" sensor.
- Resistance - about 5 kOhm
If necessary, replace the EGR valve.
Valve check
Connect the vacuum pump to the valve and check the air passage between the ports "1" And "2" valve at the specified vacuum.
Underpressure:
- <30.0 - 36.6 kPa - valve closed
- other - the valve is open
If the described conditions are not met, replace the valve.
Checking the control solenoid valve
1. Remove the EGR control solenoid valve.
2. Check the passage of air through the valve.
A) Check for air passage between fittings "A" And "IN" and the presence of patency between fittings "IN" And "WITH".
b) Apply battery voltage to terminal "A", and the mass on the output "IN" solenoid valve. Check for air permeability between fittings "A" And "IN" lack of passage between fittings "IN" And "WITH".
If the described conditions are not met, replace the solenoid valve.
