Disassembly Notes
Attention: in order not to damage the parts, install special protective pads on the vise jaws.
Differential disassembly
A) Install one of the axle shafts in a vise so that the splines of the axle shaft are above the vise jaws. Align the splines on the axle shaft with the splines on the side gear, and install the differential on the axle shaft with the driven gear side of the final drive on the bottom.
b) Install the special tool on the lower side gear.
V) Install the special tool as shown in the figure.
G) Tighten the assembled tool and move the side gear away from the pinion gear.
d) Remove the satellite thrust washer.
e) Loosen the tool and retighten until there is a slight play in the side gear.
and) Install a tool in the pinion shaft hole and rotate the differential case to remove the pinion through the larger hole in the differential case.
h) While holding the upper side gear with your hand, remove the tools from the differential.
And) Remove the upper side gear and friction discs.
Note: Do not swap friction discs. Keep their order.
To) Remove the retaining ring and remove the friction discs.
